Philbrick is a graduate student in an unnamed department of the humanities at an unnamed institution of higher learning, both of which anyone could probably figure out. However, he still has the strange idea that this is all somehow anonymous and prefers that his readers go along with him on this. Philbrick thanks everyone in advance for going along with the little charade.
Philbrick maintains a weblog for numerous reasons, the main ones being:
1. To write about things that interest him without having to use proper MLA citation and formatting.
2. To write about things that interest him without having to defend their scholarly merit.
3. To keep in touch with friends.
4. To possibly entertain strangers.
5. To vent.

Hey – hope you don’t mind – I tortured Will until he gave up your blog-site…I sure miss you! Being at school and not seeing you is a sad, sad thing…Ty sits next to me in Dawahare’s class…his presence reminds me of your absence…
Love to you and best wishes for a productive semester.
I don’t mind at all. I think this brings me up to six readers. Enjoy! And give Ty a wet willy for me.
